An HTML5 game rendition of the famous anime of the same title. This arcade game will surprise you, especially if you’re a fan of the anime. Swing through buildings and let’s slay some titans!
You play as Mikasa, one of the main character in the story. You run, you swing and you slash titans on the neck area, never on any part of the body or else you’ll just end up losing life, be on a look-out for supplies, since swinging around uses-up gas and if you used up all the gas in your tank, you’d be left with just running around. This is a fast-paced side-scrolling game that will keep you entertained.
Attack on Titan Gameplay
Graphics: Poor
It would have been better if the developer placed some effort into the graphics quality and not just the animation. The game looks like a game from earlier Nintendo gameboy games or even latter. Bad over-all graphics is compensated by the better animation, but still its a “D -”.
Sound: Average
The Attack on Titan theme song was converted properly into MIDI sound format and gives the game a somewhat authentic rendition feel to it. Sound effects are also in MIDI and sounds like the “Contra” games in Family Computer. Overall its not bad and tolerable.
Gameplay: Good
This is where the game bounces back. The gamestyle is very much the same as what the anime is depicting, very unique in the HTML5 gaming world but can be very familiar if you’ve watched the anime version. For me, as a fan of the anime, when I first saw the game title, it made me wanna play it right away, and that is why most anime/movie rendition games usually get good hits if the said movie/anime is famous. In conclusion, the author of the game did a very “wise” selection of “what game to make?” and that it will surely get fans because of its gameplay.
Cons: Poor overall graphics.
