Another immersive puzzle adventure game for the browser powered by Unity3D – ION.
Play as Ion, a yellow golden robot, that fell from the sky landing in the midst of a junkyard. Ion meets a white fox who becomes his first friend; however, the fox dies and you are given a mysterious new power. Help Ion as he explores the world and defends himself from the evil robots that are trying to eradicate him.
Ion Video Gameplay:
Graphics: Very Good
The game graphics are very well done presenting enough minimalism yet detail to make the game very attractive to most players. The game also has smooth animations and fluid camera transitions that adds to the game’s overall atmosphere.
Sound: Good
The game has satisfactory surreal sounds that fits the game’s theme very well.
Playability: Very Good
The introductory story line affected me quite surprisingly, I found myself getting attached to the golden robot and endearingly hope that he can make it out alive – yes, the story line is indeed touching.
In most puzzle adventure games, this game also doesn’t have specific instructions on how to solve a puzzle; instead the player is left to explore the different interactive areas to find clues. However, this game does not only imply point and click gameplay, it also includes physics based strategem to solve some puzzles and yes, some bit of knowledge about magnetic attraction and repulsion.
Overall, the game is quite interesting with fun gameplay revolving around physics, gravity and magnetism similar to Rochard or Telekinesis Kyle – it’s definitely worth playing for those who love atmospheric puzzle games.
Cons: Confusing at first. May need to restart the level once you make a single mistake.
